Meyer Fest This Weekend in Brookside – Oct 9-10, 2015

Meyer festThe most beautiful season in Kansas City? Many people would say Autumn because of the warm days, cool nights and brilliant fall colors on the trees. And one of the most welcoming, friendly communities in Brookside is St Peter’s Parish. Fall and festivals go together, so this weekend you are invited to the St. Peter’s Meyer Fest, now in it’s second year. In the past, the church held a parish “fiesta” on the school grounds geared towards parishioners and school families. 1. Mary,
I am pleased to hear that the repairs on the fountain on Rockhill will be completed soon, but am discouraged that progress on the Armour Circle fountain is moving so slowly. Is there any hope that the fountain will flow again in 2016? This fountain is a centerpiece in our neighborhood and it had been dry and stagnant for two years. The last posting I saw said the board was seeking proposals for the work. Why the delay?

My work schedule prevents me attending meetings. I have communicated my concerns to the board president as well.

    • Millie, the fountain renovation takes a long time. We update our
residents through regular email, our Facebook page, the newsletter Clarion and our website. Please come to our annual meeting in November for a complete recap of what the homes assn. has been doing this year regarding fountain restoration. We can always use more volunteers and would love your help!
