The holidays are almost here…time to get in the spirit! Brookside is here to help, with the annual Holiday Season Opener happening all weekend.

The festivities start tonight, November 14 at 5:30, with live music, a tree lighting ceremony, treats and a special visit from Santa. The Brookside website and poster does not indicate the location; however, in the past it’s been held at the grassy area on 63rd St just east of Brookside Blvd near the bus stop. (Just look for all the people!) All weekend, the Brookside shops along and around 63rd St will offer special deals, new holiday products, giveaways and food and drink specials at the restaurants. When you visit the Brookside Holiday Season Opener, you are supporting our locally owned businesses that make Brookside the special place it is. Get ready to enjoy some holiday cheer with your friends and neighbors this weekend in Brookside!

The Brookside Holiday Season Opener is tonight! Get in the spirit browsing through the shops and check out the special deals! The Holiday Trombones will play from 5:30-6:30 at the Bank Midwest Plaza (at 63rd and Brookside), and the tree will be lit at 6pm.

Brookside season opener

Shop local!  It’s one of the best parts of living in Brookside and Waldo…so many locally owned shops and services, supported by the nearby residents and neighbors.  This weekend is the annual Brookside Holiday Season Opener–a chance for you to start shopping early while taking advantage of special discounts!

To get you in the spirit, festivities start Thursday Nov 14, 2019 at 5pm.  Stop by the Bank Midwest Plaza (63rd and Brookside) and pick up some refreshments while enjoying the Border Star Elementary School Choir and the tree lighting at 6:30.  Shops will be open late till 8pm.

Special deals continue through the weekend with many merchants offering discounts on food and gifts.  Check out the Brookside website for details.  

Shopping hours during the Brookside Holiday Season Opener are Thursday 5-8pm, Friday and Saturday from 10-6 and Sunday from 12-5.  Get your list together and spend some time in Brookside this weekend shopping the deals and supporting our local businesses!
