The Brookside Holiday Season Opener is tonight! Get in the spirit browsing through the shops and check out the special deals! The Holiday Trombones will play from 5:30-6:30 at the Bank Midwest Plaza (at 63rd and Brookside), and the tree will be lit at 6pm.

Time to get inspired early for holiday gift giving!  Join your friends and neighbors for Brookside’s Holiday Season Opener this Thursday, Nov 9, 2017.

Many shops and restaurants will be open with special hours and deals…start ad Wornall and 63rd St and head east along 63rd.  There will be free hot coffee and hot chocolate; live holiday music sung by local school kids and extended hours for merchants through the weekend.

Also, remember Worlds Window is hosting it’s 8th annual fundraiser for Rose Brooks.  Bring your new or gently used coats/sweaters for women and kids to the shop prior to Nov 9–then you will receive a 20% coupon to use during the Holiday Season Opener.

Brookside Holiday Season Kicks Off Tonight

Brookside is ready to welcome all shoppers with the annual Brookside Holiday Season Opener tonight, Nov. 10 from 5-8pm.  Especially with the mild evening temperatures–this is a good time to get out and do some early shopping while supporting locally owned businesses!

Many Brookside merchants will be open tonight until 8pm. Several restaurants have food and drink specials; shops have special deals.  Worlds Window is collecting new and gently used coats, partnering with Rose Brooks Center.  As you stroll from shop to store, enjoy live music outside and sip free coffee and cocoa!

This event is for all ages, too.  The kids have fun at the special photo spots throughout the area.  

If you can’t make it tonight–the festive atmosphere and specials continue throughout the weekend.  The Brookside shops are located on W 63rd St, just east of Wornall Road.

brookside holidayEven though you may still be scheduling your Thanksgiving plans, it’s time for Brookside’s Holiday Season Opener–tomorrow, Nov 13, 2014 from 6-9pm at 63rd St and Brookside Blvd.  It may be a bit chilly but the atmosphere will be warm and festive..plus you’ll enjoy  complimentary coffee and hot chocolate from the Roasterie and Michael Forbes Grill!

Choirs from area schools will serenade shoppers and  bring out the holiday spirit  as you stroll through the shops, checking out special deals and admiring the special seasonal window displays.  Bring any gently used winter coats or sweaters you may have and drop them off at World’s Window–they are collecting outwear for Rose Brooks Center–and you’ll get a 20% off coupon to use in the store.

Another family event tonight in Brookside–Christmas in the Park happens Thursday, December 6, at 6pm in the park at 63rd St and Brookside Plaza.

Plan on stopping by and enjoying some light refreshments as we sing holiday carols and visit with Santa!  Visitors in period costume from the John Wornall House will be there, and don’t forget to enter the drawing for local gift certificates!   You can plan on shopping that evening as well–many merchants will be open and offering special 20% discounts.
